WHO ARE WE?
We are a non-partisan group of young professionals who promote the social, civic, and professional development of its members while working to make Metro South an attractive place to live and work for young professionals and families.
WHO MAKES UP EMERGING40?
Young adults who make a living in a professional capacity and either work or live in the South Shore: Teachers, bankers, tradesmen, lawyers, artists, homemakers and all the vocations that make up the core of our young business community.
WHO CAN JOIN EMERGING40?
Anyone interested in expanding their social/business network and making the South Shore a more attractive place for young professionals and their families.
WHY WERE WE FORMED?
The South Shore has become an increasingly attractive option for young professionals looking to relocate out of dense metropolitan areas. The area’s low housing cost, proximity to Boston and Providence, and its wealth of attractions make it a great destination for young families. Even businesses are recognizing Metro South as an area with a vibrant work force and growing market.
WHAT DO WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE?
The goal of Emerging 40 is to showcase the South Shore and its many attractions to young adults living in the area and to those thinking of making Metro South their new home or business location.
